THESE EVENTS WILL BE OPEN TO ALL MEMBERS
This summer the club is hoping to revive a number of the previously much loved sailing events championed by the younger sailors at the club. Namely the RS Feva Class Racing and the Team Racing event.
The RS Feva Class racing event used to be a one day event where the whole fleet of Fevas (club or privately owned) would go out and complete 3 races across the course of day for the Class Cup. We are now looking at getting these boats out more often with races across a number of weekends this summer.
The Team racing event also used to be a one day event and may remain as such. It was again a race completed in RS Fevas but with 4 Fevas working together as one team against another 4 Fevas, with the aim of getting all 4 of their boats across the race finish line as quickly as possible by utilising the racing rules to tactically sabotage and disadvantage boats on the other team!
Click here for a very short questionnaire, which we would be extremely grateful if you were to fill it out, as it will provide us with an idea of the number of people interested in taking part in these events and when the best date might be for them to take place.
Parents, if your children are interested we request you fill out the survey for them indicating which dates they are available so we have an idea of who is interested in taking part in these events.
These events are open to anyone at the club who is willing to get out on the water to enjoy some sailing in an RS Feva! If you own a Feva then this could be the perfect opportunity for you to sail as part of a larger fleet and if you have not got your own then club boats are available, however spaces are limited.
